Hen Mountain
Hen is one the many hills on this said of the Mournes that are named after birds and is normally spoken of in parallel with it’s immediate avian neighbour, Cock (the other bird inspired hills nearby are Pigeon and Eagle). It is a very small hill at just 348m, but it is one of the hills in the Mournes whose top is adorned with torrs. This (and the fact that it is so close to the road) makes it a hill that is popular with climbing novices. It is part of the Eagle Mountain Circular walk. See if you can find the old mill stone on its flanks.
