The town of Castlewellan lies to the north of the Mountains of Mourne
Castlewellan is another gateway town into the Mournes. It has a large forest park that includes the National Arboretum and a mile-long lake that is great for learning how to canoe and kayak on flat water. An outdoor activities centre is located on site.
