Welcome to Northern Focus, the website of Simon Watterson, an outdoor photographer and writer from Bangor in Northern Ireland.

I use photography as a way of exploring the natural world whether that be the landscape, the plants and animals that live in the landscape or the people who live and work in the landscape.

My first book, Portrait of the Northern Ireland Coast, was published in October 2009 and this is being followed by Portrait of Mourne in April 2010.
